Robin Babadjouni, MD, is a neurosurgeon practicing at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Torrance Memorial Medical Center. A Los Angeles native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Dr. Babadjouni completed his neurological surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he also completed fellowship training in peripheral nerve and microsurgery. He later completed a fellowship in complex spinal surgery at Brown University, with a focus on spinal oncology.
Due to his strong interest in global health, in 2024 Dr. Babadjouni led a spine surgery mission to Uganda, where his team provided surgical care to patients with limited access to specialized spine treatment. He worked closely with local orthopedic residents, providing hands-on surgical training and sharing surgical techniques and experience.
Dr. Babadjouni believes in carefully considering both surgical and nonsurgical options and tailoring treatment to each patient’s condition and goals. He works closely with patients and their families to help them understand their options and determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
Returning to practice in Los Angeles is particularly meaningful to Dr. Babadjouni, as he is excited to serve the community where he grew up and trained. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, staying active, and following Los Angeles sports.
