Barabra Lucas, MD is a board-certified pediatrician with over 30 years of experience caring for children and adolescents. A Southern California native, she earned her B.S. in Zoology from Brigham Young University and her M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed her pediatric residency through the U.C. Irvine, Long Beach Memorial, and CHOC program, where she was elected
chief resident. She later completed clinical genetics and dysmorphology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Lucas has a special interest in adolescent medicine, having served as the medical director of the Center for Discovery Residential Eating Disorder Facility for 19 years and as a physician at the Student Health Center at Marymount College. She is thrilled to bring her deep expertise and compassionate care to the Hermosa Beach Clinic.
She lives in the South Bay area with her husband, an aerospace engineer, and their daughter. A devoted animal lover, Dr. Lucas volunteers with a local rescue transporting dogs, especially German Shepherds. In her free time, she enjoys baking bread, ceramics, gardening, genealogical research, and international travel.
