Hospital Affiliation

We are proud to be affiliated with Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Torrance Memorial Medical Center is a locally governed, 401-bed, non-profit medical center that’s purpose is to provide quality health care services. Torrance Memorial Medical Center is the home of Lundquist Cardiovascular Institute, a top heart care program in Southern California.

We are also affiliated with Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

The Torrance Memorial Delpit Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, a service of the Lundquist Cardiovascular Institute, recognizes that heart disease is both physically and emotionally traumatic for both the patient and the family. South Bay Heart comprehensive heart program includes Cardiac Rehabilitation, a recovery program designed for people who have coronary disease, electrical disorders or have had a heart attack, heart surgery or balloon angioplasty.

Support Groups

At South Bay Heart, we know there is much more to healing than the diagnoses and treatments that heal our bodies. To help you on the road to wellness, the we offer a wide variety of support groups that nurture the mind and spirit. Whether you need information, guidance or simply companionship, you are invited to take advantage of these helpful groups.

Aphasia Support Group

For patients who are unable to communicate after stroke, meetings are held Wednesday at 12 p.m. Call 310-325-9110 ext. 1009 for more information.

Stroke Support Group

A monthly support group for those recovering from a stroke. Family members are welcome to attend. Offered the first Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. in the Health Conference Center Room #3. Call 310-325-9110, ext. 1008 for more information.

"Take Heart" Support Group

A peer support group for individuals with heart disease and their significant others. Our goal is to help you establish stronger support systems by offering reassurance, comfort, support and fellowship. In a roundtable discussion environment, "Take Heart" is facilitated by a person who has experienced a cardiac event. This service is offered free. Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Call 310-517-4737 for more information.

Before your first visit, please print and complete the New Patient Registration Packet forms. Some specialists may require additional form about your health history. Then get prepared for your appointment using our Appointment Checklist.

Have questions about your insurance, or have no insurance at all? Call 310-257-7205 with any questions or concerns about the cost of services. The Torrance Memorial Physician Network staff is skilled at walking you through the paperwork and speeding up the insurance process.
