Fereshteh Rajabi, MD

Dr. Rajabi is board certified in internal medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Najafabad Azad University School of Medicine in Isfahan, Iran in 2010. She had the opportunity of serving underprivileged areas as a general practitioner for two years. This experience helped her bond with patients and taught her that being a physician means more than just making a diagnosis and prescribing treatment. In addition, it inspired her to continue her education in internal medicine.
She moved to the United States and was able to become ECFMG certified and continue her education in internal medicine. She completed her residency training at UPMC Mercy, one of the main hospital facilities of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout her residency and independent practice, Dr. Rajabi became compassionate about outpatient care and felt it to be the most valuable opportunity to provide personalized care along with educating and engaging patients in their own care. She is an extremely detailed oriented physician who values preventive measures and evidence-based management of chronic diseases.
Dr. Rajabi has a special focus in the management of metabolic syndrome such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension and also has more than three years of dedicated research experience in endocrinology, cardiovascular disease and nephrology. Dr. Rajabi is fluent in English and Farsi.
In her free time, she enjoys trying different cuisines, listening to music, watching movies, traveling and learning about different cultures, yoga, and hiking.
