Dr. Aqdas Kuraishi earned his medical degree at the University of Toronto
and completed his internship and residency training at McMaster University
Medical Center in Ontario, Canada. He has practiced in Canada, Australia,
Oregon and California. He has also held associate professorships at UCLA,
University California at Irvine, Loma Linda University and Oregon Health
and Science University.
Dr. Kuraishi, who received a "Best Doctor" award in 2006, believes
that his genuine interest in human beings helps to make him a good doctor.
He has served as Vice Chairman for Family Medicine with Torrance Memorial
Medical Center for the past five years.
In his leisure time, he likes to play the guitar, garden, paint with water
colors, and play tennis. He is able to communicate medical issues in Spanish
and has a basic understanding of Urdu and French.
