Our Manhattan Beach office is seeking an experienced Medical Practice Office Manager with a deep knowledge base in clinical procedures and operations to join our healthcare administration team. We are looking for a motivated, self-directed team player with exceptional communication and problem solving skills, the ability to effectively motivate/inspire a team and to manage the daily operations of a 4 physician primary care medical practice.

Primary duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for oversight of daily operations (workflow efficiency / inventory control and ordering / budget / facility maintenance / etc.)
  • Ensure that all office areas are adequately staffed and act as backup when necessary
  • Investigate and resolve employee, physician and/or patient complaints
  • Manage payroll / monitor employees’ accruals, time off and overtime
  • Monthly financial analysis (payroll / expenses / etc.) to ensure operations are within budget
  • Manage multiple physicians’ master schedules with oversight of schedule changes; instruct staff accordingly
  • Monitor and adhere to CLIA, OSHA, DHS, HIPAA and EPA regulations as outlined in the TMPN Quality Assurance Program
  • Maintain office staff current licensure and/or certifications
  • New hire and annual staff training
  • Employee Hiring / Annual Reviews / Staff Development / Corrective Action
  • Maintain internal systems for handling cash, checks and bank deposits
  • Work in a collaborative role with other managers and other departments
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters


  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • A proven track record of working effectively with physicians
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • EMR proficiency
  • A knowledge base in clinical, clerical and medical quality operations
  • The ability to display flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment


  • Certified Medical Assistant / LVN
  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory level experience in a Family Practice/Internal Medicine office
