Treatment and Services
At the Torrance Memorial Physician Network Orthopedic and Spine Center,
we understand and treat the varied and complex clinical problems that
are associated with the spine, including the neck and back. Together,
our team of experts are able to customize each patient's treatment
plan with his or her specific needs and condition in mind.
We offer our patients a conservative approach to spine care providing the
most appropriate treatment options, both nonsurgical and surgical, tailored
to each patient's specific need. As part of our complete range of
comprehensive care, our services also include diagnostic testing, pain
management, and physician and occupational therapy.
Our orthopedic spine specialists are dedicated to developing new techniques
and instrumentation for spine surgery. We participate in clinical trials
that assess the best treatment regimen. Our goal is to develop new and
effective approaches to alleviate spine and back pain for our patients.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
Our goal is to provide the most advanced and cutting-edge minimally invasive
surgical (MIS) treatments for patients with degenerative and complex spinal
disorders. Minimally invasive spine surgery is a procedure that allows
for treatment through small incisions and targeted approaches to decrease
muscle and soft tissue injuries. With smaller incisions and more targeted
approaches, there is an overall decrease in soft tissue damage leading
to quicker recovery and decreased surgical infection rates. Clinical studies
have demonstrated that Minimally Invasive Surgery decreases surgical blood
loss, hospitalization time, overall recovery time and time away from work.
Traditional and Minimally Invasive Surgery options can include:
- Spinal Decompression
- Cervical and Lumbar Spine Fusion
Our experts have access to a host of non-operative treatments to design
a treatment plan that best fits the patient's lifestyle. Not all back
or neck conditions require surgery. In fact, many ailments can be treated
with a conservative approach.
Non-surgical options can include:
- Physical Therapy
- Spinal Injections
