Dr. Mary Beth Miller specializes in Family Medicine. She earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine
in Kansas City, KS in 1996. She completed her residency at Smoky
Hill Family Medicine Residency in Salina, KS in 1999.
Upon completion of medical school and residency, she has been practicing medicine in a primary care clinic in the small rural
town of St. Francis, KS since August of 1999. While in Kansas, she
raised three children, served on the local school board, and was
very active with the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians and
served as the president of the organization. She and her husband
have moved to California to be nearer to her children who are now
grown and relocated to the state.
Dr. Miller loves family medicine as it allows her to care for patients from adolescent
through the golden years. She feels invigorated by
the changes coming in medicine today that promises to improve
the medical care we should all enjoy. Teaching is of particular
interest for her. She has always been motivated by the fact that
the Latin derivation of the word "doctor" came from teacher. She
feels it is important to include this in clinic visits so that patients
can come to understand their health in a better way.
Outside of the office, Dr. Miller loves spending time with her
husband and three children, running half marathons, and enjoying
the sparkling of sunlight on the ocean.
