Dr. Lurie is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He received his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and attended medical school at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Lurie is the Medical Director of the Melanie & Richard Lundquist Cardiovascular Institute; Medical Director of the Congestive Heart Failure Program, Medical Director of the Acute Myocardial Infarction Program, the Medical Director of Cardiology and Co-Director of the Diabetes Management Program at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. He is also a member of the American Heart Association and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Lurie is on the Board of Trustees and is the President of the Torrance Memorial Health Care Foundation and former Chief of Staff of Torrance Memorial Medical Center. In addition to his role at Torrance Memorial, he is a cardiology consultant for the University of Southern California Athletic Department.
He has received numerous awards including Woodward and White, “Best Doctors in America”, Castle and Connolly, “Top Doctors in America” and U.S. News and World Report, “America’s Best Doctors”.
Dr. Lurie was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been practicing in the South Bay for over 35 years.
