Colon/Rectal Cancer

Colorectal cancers affect more than 150,000 men and women in this country each year. Here at Torrance Memorial Physician Network Cancer Care, we'd rather prevent colon cancer than treat it – we urge all patients to discuss their risk for colon cancer with your primary care physician and have regular colonoscopies as recommended.

Colorectal cancer is preventable. With regular colonoscopies based on the schedule your primary care physician recommends, early detection and removal of precancerous polyps means that cancer doesn't have a chance to develop.

Torrance Memorial Medical Center offers the full range of screening and diagnostic testing services for colorectal cancer, including:

  • Colonoscopy
  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • CT Colonography

The physicians at Cancer Care have extensive experience treating colorectal cancer. Our patients benefit from our multidisciplinary approach, in which our experienced team meets regularly to discuss treatment and progress with surgeons, pathologists and other specialists involved in your care.
